Marvin Reyes
Marvin Reyes graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, in 2001. For his undergraduate thesis work, Marvin translated Sir Richard Burton's English Translation of the Kama Sutra into Filipino.
Born in Bulacan, Marvin is currently a part-time professor, teaching Filipino at the Ateneo de Manila University and St. Scholastica's College.
A Ph. D. Candidate in Filipino, major in Translation (De La Salle University, Manila), Marvin is a consistent academic achiever.
In his early years Marvin already showed excellence for the Filipino Language - while in Elementary and High School at the Colegio de San Pascual Baylon, he won the Best in Filipino Award.
Creative writing, reading, television, movies, and theatre arts are among Marvin's key interests. His published works include “Dilim” and “Uyayi ng Tinatawag Mo.”
Marvin performed as lead actor in the school version of the play A Street Car Named Desire.
Paz Grace Panganiban
Coming from the notable Panganiban lineage of Filipino experts, Paz Panganiban is a field expert on translation. She is presently the resident translator of a spiritual community where she translates books into Filipino.
Tita Paz (or simply Pachie to friends) finished high school at the University of Santo Tomas; she holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Santa Isabel College where she majored in Piano.
A woman of many competencies, Tita Paz was into industrial trade in the later part of the nineteen-nineties during which she was proprietress of the Ever Chemical Trading Company. Earlier on she was an elementary/high school teacher at the Holy Family School, and a Piano Instructor at the Santa Isabel College.
Born in Pampanga, Tita Paz is mother to a role model son, who at the moment, is taking up a Management - with honors course at the Ateneo de Manila University.
Tita Paz is trained in the study of the Spiritual Science of the Soul.
The Photographer
Diana Noche
Born in Lucena City, Quezon, the gifted Diana Noche is the project's chief photographer.
Diana graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting and a minor in International Economics. She also holds a Master's in Business Administration (with special focus in Business Mathematics).
A mother of three, Diana studied professional photography at the New York Institute of Photography. She has attended innumerable workshops and has won several awards in her field.
In 1994, Diana Noche was granted the New York Photo World's Merit Award, she was also awarded second prize by the San Francisco Now Publication. In addition, she had won second prize in the 1992 Philippine Free Press Literary Contest for Short Story, and was a finalist for the Philippine Free Press Literary Contest for Poetry
A finalist at the 2001 Canon Asia Photo Contest, Diana is currently a Photo Correspondent at the Manila Standard. She previously had been contributor to Health News Magazine, an Editorial Consultant to What's Up? Magazine, a writer/photographer to the American-based Kayumanggi, The Brown Mag, and a writer/photographer to The Filipino Advocate, a publication head-quartered in California, United States.
Ms. Noche owns and runs PaperNStuff , a sole-proprietorship that sells greeting cards, calendars, posters, handmade artworks, and photographs.
Ingrid Fuentes
Two
years of being layout and design editor of a school newspaper
and a student literary publication grounds Ingrid’s graphic
design expertise. In 2003, she again takes on the book
designer’s helm, this time for Kama Sutra: The Filipino
Translation -- her third major book project.
The
Ingrid Fuentes Design Trademark is based on five overarching
design traits: uniqueness, simple and classic flows that promote
reading ease, good taste, consistent packaging style, and
artistic expression.
Ingrid is currently a customer service representative for Sykes
Asia where she has won company awards for her interpersonal and
communication skills. Ingrid is known to efficiently and
tactfully handle client needs, a rarity given today’s automated
and unfeeling responses from corporations and other service
providers.
Ingrid graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in
Entrepreneurship, Assumption College, Makati, where she was able
to consistently demonstrate exemplary service and academic
excellence. She also has completed an Executive Course on
Marketing Strategy from the Asian Institute of Management.
A
stint at Hocheng Group Corporation and at Brother International
Philippines Inc. enabled Ingrid the opportunities to root her
competencies in the fields of marketing and sales support,
product promotion, and value-chain management.
